Trail Guide Available

A 24-page updated trail guide is available at the arboretum entrance.  This guide features 88 plant and garden features of special interest in the arboretum.  These plants are featured because of their uniqueness, important features, special uses or desirable characteristics.  The guide details such items as landscape uses, growing conditions, size, growth rate, hardiness, flowering characteristics and fall color.  Each plant is listed by both common and botanical name.

To use the guide, follow the path clockwise to the east as you leave the entrance structure.  The number for the plants in the trail guide will correspond with the numbers on the small yellow stickers on the plant labels.

If you wish to keep the trail guide, a $1.00 donation would be appreciated to cover printing costs when additional booklets need to be printed.  A donation box is at the arboretum entrance.

Partial funding for the initial printing of the trail guide was provided by a Community Forestry Incentive Program grant from the Lower Elkhorn Natural Resources District.
